The cave, discovered accidentally in 1925, is located at the foot of the hill of St. George. It extends over two floors, covering an area of more than 1,000 m2. The temperature inside the cave remains constantly at 15-17 oC, while humidity reaches 95%.
It consists of six spacious chambers, where fossils and bones of hyenas, horses, deer, and rodents were found. The stalactites and stalagmites on the upper floor are truly impressive.
